Well that was an interesting trip! It was an amazing trip, nothing like I expected, but amazing.
My Dad's surgery went very, very well. What more can I say? I was floating on air when I heard the surgery was over and he was doing great.
I didn't get to see any of my old MA friends. I am truly sad about that, but on the other hand, I really needed to stick close to the hospital and be with family.
It was interesting to me that the family who was there, were some people I'd lost touch with over the years. We got to reconnect, bond some and it was so very fun. I hope we never lose that again.
Once I made it back to my sweet J here in CA, we took off for Monterey. The aquarium is really lovely. We zipped all over the place hoping to see it all before it closed but I would have loved to stay in front of the Kelp forest all day long. I had to keep moving to keep from getting mesmerized by the swaying kelp. I'm glad I did move on, there were several gorgeous exhibits on jelly fish and several really inventive exhibits on schooling fish.
Yesterday we went to the farmer's market and then into SF to see the Botanical Gardens. I wish I could say that they were amazing, but it would be a lie. The farmer's market was prettier. Oh well.
As some of you know, we are looking into moving to Phoenix. Nothing is certain yet to be sure. We aren't terribly good about planning next steps (anyone pick this up yet?). I guess we'll keep you all posted.
Take care and keep in touch! Write to me, I'm all alone out here!
